We had the pleasure of having Joanne for a driving lesson before my sons driving test yesterday and this lady is full of knowledge, brilliant with communication and just took the stress out of the situation. I honestly can not praise this woman enough!! She is an absolute gem. If you have a child learning to drive this is the person you want in the car teaching them -Thank you again Joanne!

Jo was so great for Aidan. We had a switch in instructors and she made him feel so comfortable. She was easy to talk to and really took the effort to help Aidan pass his test.

I can not RECOMMEND Joanne ENOUGH she is AMAZING so patient, always accomodating explaining everything and always making you feel comfortable when learning to drive.
It’s bitter sweet my son passing his DL as I won’t get to have my weekly Good Morning with Joanne and see her friendly smile.

I had Joanne for a few lessons and for the use of her car for my test. Joanne was really good, calm and explained things really well for me to understand. Joanne was really good when it was time for my test talking me through everything they were going to say and do so I wasn't nervous and I passed. Joanne was a really good instructor and I appreciate her help.

Joanne Wells is a phenomenal teacher - she is enormously patient and highly knowledgeable about what skills students need to master in order to pass the drving test. I was struggling with reverse angle parking and Joanne took me through a variety of methods, drew diagrams, did her own driving demonstrations, and very calmly explained how I could improve my steering on each attempt. I carefully listened to all of her feedback and implemented her advice so that I could pass my test first go. Thank-you, Joanne - you're a wonderful person as well as an amazing instructor!

We really wanted to record our sincere gratitude to Joanne for supporting our two boys through the journey of getting their license. Joanne often went above and beyond over the years, taking our calls late at night or weekends and talking us through the process as much as our boys! Of particular note was the devastating moment that Andrew tested positive for COVID the very night before his driving test was booked - one he had literally waited months to secure. We were all beside ourselves but knew the wonderful Joanne would talk us off the ledge and support us! We called her late on the Sunday night when we got the news and true to form, she was calm and thoughtful and caring. She attended the Licensing Centre first thing in the morning to explain the situation so Andy didn't lose his free test spot and even tried to re-book for him! Despite the fact she wasn't allowed to, we were just so appreciative of her efforts. She is ever-so patient with her students, knowledgeable and has a genuine care and concern for what she does. Please pass on our thanks to her and I hope our boys make her proud by driving safely for their rest of their lives. We will be recommending Best West and Joanne to anyone who will listen! Thank you so much to all of you.

Joanne is an excellent instructor, very dedicated and caring, she is giving more than you’ll expect. Not only teaching all the things that you need to know for the drive test, but also how to be a safe driver. She encourages me to be positive all the time. She made the driving lesson experience very pleasant and enjoyable.

Joanne is a very professional, understanding and thoughtful instructor, as well as being very patient :) She is always punctual and very generous with her time. She is very easy to communicate with, and always reponds to text messages within a few hours. I highly recommend her as an instructor if you are thinking of learning to drive manual.

Joanne is a fantastic instructor. She was very helpful teaching my son to drive manual gear shift changes. Joanne took him out to a variety of streets, hwy and suburban, to ensure he learnt to drive in different situations. Joanne has a great sense of humour which helps the nervous learner. I would highly recommend Joanne she is an amazing driving instructer who puts her heart and soul into teaching people the correct way to drive. She is very patient and has the knowledge to treat each student as an individual.
Joanne taught my daughter Rhi to drive confidently and safely, And after passing she is now driving herself around everywhere.
Joanne is now teaching her twin brother who has mild autism and has been unwell. Joanne has treated them both with equal respect and positivity.
It’s been a pleasure watching their confidence grow after each lesson with you Joanne. Please continue instructing as I have another child I would love you to teach in the future.

Joanne is an amazing instructor. She is super patient, understanding, and helps build your confidence. I did a conversion from automatic to a manual license and I cannot recommend her highly enough. I have used Best West twice now (once for my automatic, and now for my manual), and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you Joanne!

Joanne trained me to pass my PDA as I had an international license that was not valid for Australia. I went from driving automatic to manual and would like to thank Joanne for all the work and patience she has had with me. She is an excellent instructor, not only to teach you how to drive but how to be a safe driver, preparing you for the exercises/manoeuvres that will be presented in the exam. I work office hours and my schedule can be difficult sometimes, but she was always very flexible as well. Thank you so much Joanne!
